A MISSION PROJECT PLANNED BY 3 ANGELS MISSION AND STAFF
Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a sovereign state and unitary presidential constitutional republic located on the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean in the Africa frontier of Sub-Saharan Africa. Accra is the capital city of Ghana, with an estimated population of 29.5 million as of 2018, and is one of largest metropolitan areas in Ghana.
Finances
The cost per team member is $3,550.00 and includes airfare, food, lodging, local transportation, travel insurance, and a
small contribution to the overall project. There is a $150 nonrefundable deposit that is due with the application. The
remaining $3,400.00 must be paid before tickets are bought.
Travel Documents
A valid passport and Ghana visa are required for travel to Ghana. The instructions and visa application form can be
found at www.travisa.com. In addition, all travelers must received an international certificate of Yellow Fever. Original,
signed passports must be valid for six (6) months beyond stay in Ghana, with a least one blank visa page available for
Ghana visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for a Ghana visa.

Health Information
It is important for every team member to assume that tap water is not safe to drink. Only drink purified water. Bottled drinking water can easily be bought in Ghana. You may also consider bringing a water purifier.
Other common health concerns are:
• Dehydration - Be sure to bring at least one water bottle and drink lots of water throughout the day.
• Sunburn - Many times the sun is much more intense at our destination than back home.Sunburns can develop quickly, so we recommend that sunscreen frequently be used.
• Exhaustion - Jet lag, long days of activities and short nights of sleep require team members to pace themselves.
Insurance and Safety
Short-term mission insurance will be provided for each team member.
Weather
Accra has a tropical savanna climate with dry winters. The area within 25 miles of this city is covered by oceans and seas (68%), croplands (19%), and marshes (11%). October is characterized by daily high temperatures, with daily highs of 87°F.
Money
The currency in Ghana is the Cedi. The exchange rate is approximately 4.67; it does change slightly daily.
Language
There are nine dialects spoken in Ghana, but the main language is English.
Evangelism
The meetings will begin on Friday, March 15, 2019, and will conclude on Friday, March 29, 2019. The orientation will be on Thursday, March 14. All team members should arrive in Accra by Wednesday evening, March 13, 2019.
VBS Programs
An outline of a sample program, with stories and craft masters, will be sent to each team member. It is suggested that each speaker involve their church members in putting together the VBS program for their meeting site.
Medical Clinics/Health Expos
The type of medical clinics and health expos that will be conducted on this mission project will depend on the type and number of medical personnel that participates. The health expo materials will be sent to each team member, should they desire to participate in the expos.
